What can be returned and what cannot, for deposits, visa fees, air tickets, hotels, and Hajj and Umrah packages.
Before anything else
Almost every rupee of a Hajj or Umrah package leaves us early. Saudi visa fees are paid to the government, hotel rooms in Makkah and Madinah are paid for in advance to hold them, and airline seats are ticketed. What we can return to you depends on what we can recover from those suppliers, and that is what the rest of this page sets out.

How to cancel
Send it in writing: email reservation.hujjaj@gmail.com or a WhatsApp message to +92 303 2442222, giving your booking reference and the names of the travellers cancelling. The date we receive your written notice is the date we use for the bands below, not the date of a phone call.
Deposits
[CONFIRM: whether the booking deposit is refundable at all, and if it is partly refundable, up to which point. Many operators treat it as non-refundable because it is spent immediately on visa lodging and room holding. State your position here in one sentence.]
Visa fees
Once an application has been lodged, the Saudi government fee and the lodging cost are gone and cannot be refunded, whatever the outcome. This applies to a refusal as much as to a cancellation. If you cancel before we lodge the application, the visa portion is returned in full.
Air tickets
Refunds on tickets follow the airline's own fare rules, not ours. A promotional or group fare is often entirely non-refundable; a flexible fare usually carries a penalty. We apply the airline's penalty as they charge it, and add our own service fee of [CONFIRM: your ticket cancellation or reissue fee] for handling the refund. Airline refunds reach us on their timetable, commonly six to eight weeks, and we pass them on as soon as they arrive.
Hotels and ground arrangements
Makkah and Madinah rooms are held under wholesaler contracts with their own deadlines. Outside the hotel's cancellation window the room cost is returned less our service fee. Inside it, the nights are charged whether or not they are used. In Ramadan and the Hajj season, hotels commonly treat bookings as non-refundable from the moment they are confirmed.
Umrah packages
Where the whole package is cancelled, the following applies to the package price after the visa and any ticketed airfare have been dealt with above. [CONFIRM: every figure in this table. Hajj packages
Hajj is not an ordinary booking. Seats are drawn from a national quota, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah takes payment for Mina and Arafat services well ahead of the season, and much of it is not recoverable once paid. Cancellation terms for Hajj are therefore set each year against the rules and deadlines announced for that season, and are given to you in writing with your booking confirmation.

Where the Government of Pakistan or the Saudi authorities cancel or reduce the Hajj operation, we recover everything the Ministry and our suppliers return, and pass it to you in full, less costs already spent and not recoverable. We will show you the breakdown.
Changing instead of cancelling
A change of date or of traveller is often cheaper than cancelling, and we would rather do that. Airline reissue rules and hotel availability decide what is possible, and an amendment fee of [CONFIRM: your amendment fee] applies.
What is never refundable
- A visa fee once the application has been lodged, including after a refusal.
- A no-show at the airport, or a departure missed for want of correct documents.
- Services you chose not to use during the trip, such as an unused hotel night, a missed transfer or a ziyarat you did not join.
- Bank charges and payment gateway fees on the original payment.
How a refund is paid
Refunds are made in Pakistani rupees to the person who paid, by the same route the payment came in wherever possible. We will confirm the amount in writing before paying. Once we have everything back from the airline and the hotels, payment is made within [CONFIRM: suggested 14 working days].
