The terms we work under.
What a quote is, what a booking is, what we are responsible for and what the airline, the hotel and the visa office are responsible for.
Who you are dealing with
Hujjaj Travel and Tours (Pvt) Ltd, trading as part of the Adam Kath Group, Office 202, Frere Business Centre, Frere Road, Saddar, Karachi 74400, Pakistan. Telephone +92 303 2442222, email reservation.hujjaj@gmail.com.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Hujjaj Travel and Tours (Pvt) Ltd, and "you" means the person making the booking and everyone travelling on it. Using this website or making a booking with us means you accept what follows.
What we are, and what we are not
We are a licensed travel agent and Hajj and Umrah operator. For flights, hotels, transport and visas we act as an agent between you and the airline, the hotel, the transport company or the issuing authority. The service in the air, in the hotel room and at the visa counter is theirs to give, and their own conditions of carriage or booking apply to it alongside these terms.
Quotes
A quote we give you on WhatsApp, by email or over the counter is an estimate at that moment. It is not a confirmed booking and it does not hold a seat or a room. Prices depend on availability, on the airline's fare at the time of ticketing, on the hotel's rate, on Saudi government charges, and on the exchange rate. A quote holds for [CONFIRM: suggested 72 hours] unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
Making a booking
A booking exists once we have received your deposit and issued you a written confirmation naming the exact package, dates, hotels and travellers. Nothing said on a call or in a chat creates a booking on its own.
[CONFIRM: the deposit required to confirm a booking, whether as a percentage or a fixed amount, and the date by which the balance must be paid, commonly a set number of days before departure.]
[CONFIRM: which payment methods you accept, whether payment is taken in Pakistani rupees or in another currency, and in whose name a bank transfer should be made.]
What you are responsible for
- Giving us names exactly as they appear in the passport. Airlines charge for a name correction, and some tickets cannot be corrected at all. Errors that come from what you gave us are yours to bear.
- Holding a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date, with blank pages for visas.
- Meeting the vaccination and health requirements in force at the time, including any the Saudi authorities set for pilgrims.
- Arriving at the airport by the time we tell you, and carrying your documents with you.
- Telling us the truth in your visa paperwork. A refusal that follows from a wrong or incomplete declaration is not something we can undo.
Visas
We prepare and lodge visa applications. The decision belongs entirely to the issuing authority, and no agent can promise an outcome. Where a visa is refused, the government fee and the lodging cost are not returned to us and cannot be returned to you. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Hajj and Umrah
Hajj is operated under the quota and the rules set each year by the Government of Pakistan and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Those rules can change after you have booked, and they are above anything we agree between us. Maktab category, camp location at Mina and Arafat, and transport arrangements are assigned by the Saudi authorities, and while we ask for the category you paid for, the final allocation is theirs.
Umrah bookings depend on the visa and permit systems in force at the time, including any seasonal restriction the Saudi authorities announce.
Changes by hotels, airlines and authorities
Airlines change schedules and occasionally cancel flights. Hotels are sometimes overbooked. Where this happens we will move you to accommodation of the same standard or better, at the same or a closer distance from the Haram where it is possible to do so, and we will tell you as soon as we know. A change of this kind is not a cancellation by us.
Changes by you
Tell us in writing as early as you can. What a change costs depends on the airline's fare rules and the hotel's terms at that moment, plus our own amendment fee. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Things outside anyone's control
We are not liable for a failure caused by something no operator could have prevented: a government closing a border or changing quota, a suspension of Umrah or Hajj, war, civil unrest, an epidemic, extreme weather, an airline ceasing to fly, or a strike. Where such an event stops a journey we will recover from suppliers whatever can be recovered and pass it to you, less what has already been spent and cannot be returned.
The limit of our responsibility
Our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking. We are not responsible for losses beyond that, such as missed work or onward travel you arranged separately. Nothing here limits any liability that Pakistani law does not allow to be limited.
Insurance
[CONFIRM: whether travel insurance is included in your packages, offered as an extra, or left to the traveller. State it plainly here either way.]
If something goes wrong
Tell us while you are still travelling if you can, so that we have a chance to fix it. Afterwards, write to reservation.hujjaj@gmail.com with your booking reference. We will reply within [CONFIRM: suggested seven working days].
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Karachi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
